Wii U

The Wii U is the natural successor to the Nintendo’s Wii. When the original Wii was released back on December 2nd, 2006 it was considered to be a marvel of technology. Never before were you able to take a control, move it with your hands and watch your actions relay on screen. It was this technology that allowed for the Wii to grow into one of the more popular home consoles of its day but eventually the Playstation 3 & Xbox 360 offered realistic visuals that were incredible to the naked eye. The quality of games offered by Sony and Microsoft allowed for them to defeat the Wii in less than a year’s time.

When Nintendo released the Wii U they thought that the same effect would apply to their new console as Nintendo knew that the Playstation 4 & Xbox One wouldn’t be released for another year. Almost two years later and the Nintendo Wii U is selling horrible not only overseas but also on Northern American soil. Nintendo doesn’t have the same power they once did with home consoles, where they now succeed is in the hand held console market with their Nintendo 3DS. The Nintendo 3DS being the most popular hand held system ever created.

Unfortunately on the more popular games that was released with the Wii U was “Wii U Sports” and already the online servers are being shut down due to lack of players playing the game. This means that one of the games that the Wii U has to offer is already dead, with the unpopularity of the Wii U it is suspected that only more online servers for Nintendo Wii U games will shut
